Route: Trail #1 from Keogan Hut Parking lot to Huron Hut – Beginner Level 1 Hike
What better way to start the fall hiking season and to get the little ones out for some food and social time. Get to know the other parents with young ones in ACC Ottawa. This hike is easy enough to be done with a Chariot or similar adventure style stroller; no minimum age limit on participants; parents must be comfortable being in the woods with their children in the evening/dark.
Must be ACC Members. All minors must be accompanied by an adult at a 2 to 1 ratio max. No limit on number of participants.
Edit the shared Google Doc to let us know what you are bringing so to avoid ‘everyone bringing salad situation’. Bring enough to share, not enough for everyone and pack out leftovers. Don’t forget, plates, cups, beverages, utensils, warm cloths and a head lamp.
Meet at the Keogan Hut parking lot on the Fortune Parkway with enough time to sign the waiver & and pack up for a 5:30pm departure. We expect to be back at the parking lot by 8:00pm.

Effective September 11 – Coyote Rock Gym moving ACC Club Night to Fridays
Here is the notification we received from Coyote:
I’m writing to inform you that, effective Friday September 11, Coyote will be moving Alpine Club Night to Fridays. This means that Wednesday September 2 will be the last Alpine Club Night on a Wednesday.
This year we have expanded our youth programming and we feel it will better serve us and your members to have Alpine Club Night on a Friday when there is no youth programming and the gym is typically less busy. We value our relationship with you and, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Jody Miall, Manager, Coyote Rock Gym
